These are the collective works of
Jack De Caluwé – a designer & director
with an urge to create the unexpected
and a knack for storytelling.

Jack De Caluwé is a multi-disciplinary artist and graphic designer based in Portland, Oregon. He currently works as a Creative Director at a place called Instrument.

Born in a small country town in Belgium – he initially studied to become a carpenter until he discovered a propensity for art. This led him to study Graphic Design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent (Belgium), and film at Faculdade de Belas Artes in Lisbon (Portugal).

Informed by the past and inspired by the future, his work taps into the fields of design, film, art and literature – erasing the barriers that usually separate these worlds.

His aim is to craft experiences that draw on each of these disciplines; expressed through bold image-making, typographic nuance and an unwavering dedication to storytelling.

Some of the brands he has worked with include: Google, Nike, Levi's, Ferrari, The New York Times, Adidas, Patagonia, The United Nations, Herman Miller, Coca Cola, Ministry Of Sound, ABC, Kitchenaid, Ikea, Virgin Mobile and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

His personal work has been exhibited in the Municipal Museum of Contemporary Art (Belgium) and the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa (Japan).
